Stanley pub customers test positive

After the shock of the outbreak in Stanley Care Homes, the town has again been hit by coronavirus, as positive tests have been linked to the Empire Club and some other nearby pubs and clubs. Customers who were there between Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th have been asked to isolate for 14 days. NHS test and trace is working hard to find the suspected 100 people who may have been in these premises at the time.1

Great advice is available from Durham County Council who have published an excellent website which details how to obtain a test if you are displaying coronavirus symptoms (http://www.durham.gov.uk/coronavirus).

If you are asymptomatic and wish to have a test, then this can be obtained from Complement Genomics in Lanchester, DH7 0EX, a DHSC approved laboratory.  Call 0191 543 9302 or e-mail sales@geneblitz.com. County Durham residents will receive a 20% discount on the £90 test, so bring along a utility bill, bus pass or other or other proof of address and you can obtain the test for £75 (or online, go to https://www.geneblitz.com/covid-19 and enter discount code DUR01 at checkout)
